Born and raised in Estremoz, in the heart of the Alentejo wine region, Tiago Cabaço got used to sharing the countryside and working in the vineyards and winery with his parents from a very young age. It was through this journey that, as a child, he learned the secrets of the vineyard, the soil, the grape varieties and the entire universe associated with it, which he still applies in his daily life. In 2004, he created the Tiago Cabaço Winery brand, a project in his own name. Since then, he has been launching his own wines on the market, through which he has come to assert his personality and vision regarding wines and the Alentejo.
Tiago Cabaço has earned respect and attention from the sector, winning many national and international awards and distinctions. The family of wines, seductive and serious, modern in style and form but deeply Alentejo in character, is divided between the “com” wines with an energetic and youthful profile, the serious and powerful single varietals, the “Vinhas Velhas” wines that combine the excellence of the terroir and vines that are over 30 years old, the sparkling wine, designed for special occasions, and the “blog” wines that are simultaneously vigorous, subtle and fresh and claim to be the top of the range of Tiago Cabaço wines.
With access to some of the best and oldest vineyards in the Alentejo, all near Estremoz, with the oenology entrusted to one of the best oenologists in the country – Susana Esteban – and with the conquest of foreign markets, Tiago Cabaço is one of the stars of the new Alentejo.
