Count D'Ervideira José Perdigão Rosado de Carvalho was born in Évora, in 1862. During his life, he dedicated himself to politics and public service, having even been Mayor of Évora. He also exercised the functions of Provider of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia and of the Real Casa Pia de Évora. He founded the newspaper “Distrito de Évora”, of which he was director. At the age of 24, he received the title of Viscount of Ervideira, and later was elevated to Conde D'Ervideira by King D. Carlos I of Portugal.

We had an excellent experience that started with a warm welcome and a beautiful view from the tasting room to the vineyards! Our host was engaging, knowledgeable and a lot of fun! The wine tasting and charcuterie board was generous, great wines!
