The Borgo dei Posseri farmstead stretches over 568 acres on a sunny
plateau between the historical town of Ala and the so-called Small Dolomites.
The vineyards, located at an altitude between 550 and 720 metres,
are mostly on flat land, with a prevailing Western, NorthWestern
exposure . The constant presence of winds from the South
and the North makes this area an ideal habitat for growing vines in a
non-intensive context. Along the road that goes through the farm are
holiday homes and mountain farms that used to belong to the noble
Taddei family from Ala. Until the beginning of last century estate about
fifteen tenant families lived in this farmland. After years of neglect, a
fortuitous coincidence led to rediscover this magical place. Not at ali
frightened by the derelict farm, the crumbling buildings and the fields
taken over by woods and overgrowth, we undertook the bold and
ambitious project of bringing back to its old glory this corner of Trentino,
surrounded by mountains and with incredible views of the Val d’Adige,
and producing a wine that would reflect its unique character.
