Winemaker António Maçanita is known for enjoying challenges. It has done very important work in the preservation and dissemination of indigenous and exclusive grape varieties from the Azores, demonstrating the enormous potential of Azorean grape varieties and the Azorean Terroir in the production of exceptional white wines. Filipe Rocha fell in love with the vineyards of Pico Island and the challenge of promoting the wines of the Azores.
