Quinta de São Luiz, origin of Kopke brand, is located in left bank of the Douro River, near Pinhão, in the parish of Adorigo municipality of Tabuaço, in the heart of the sub-region of Cima-Corgo. Majestic and considered one of the most representative of the Douro region, this Quinta has suffered the impact of two fundamental changes in your region: on the one hand the construction of the Bagaúste dam, with the consequent increase in the water level, which implied a loss part of the farm land; for another, the acquisition and integration of other adjacent properties such as Quinta da Mosque (1972), Quinta da Lobata (1974), Quinta da Alegria (1982) and Quinta da Galeira (1987) which expanded their extension. The farm currently has 125ha, of which 90 are planted with vines, including the old strains that bear fruit for our premium wines.
