Nestled in the hills of Chianti Classico, 20 minutes from Siena, among woods, vineyards and olive groves, Selvole is a place of refreshment and peace, the perfect destination to regenerate, in body and spirit: wines and hospitality in the heart of Chianti.
One of the oldest wineries in Tuscany, Castello di Selvole produces around 80,000 bottles of wine per year.
Most of the vineyards are located in the small valley between Selvole and Brolio where Chianti Classico was born 300 years ago.
We are French-style, thanks to the influence of the winemaker Yves Glories, who was a professor at the University of Bordeaux. Of the 16 hectares of vineyards that Castello di Selvole cultivates, half have recently been planted at very high density with Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
We also care about sustainability and biodiversity, trying to be as faithful as possible to the nature of the territory.
