A heritage steeped in history
Since the 10th century, the Seigneurie de Bioul has enchanted visitors with its prestigious history. Gobert d'Orbais, also known as Gobert de Bioul, appears in written records in 1210 as an eminent knight and lord.
Since 1906, the Château has been carefully preserved within the same family. Today, Andy and Vanessa Wyckmans-Vaxelaire, heirs to this saga, are the current owners, proud to perpetuate this emotional family heritage.
A family history
The foundations of Château de Bioul are rooted in cherished family values such as love, solidarity and respect. The family motto, ‘In Arduis Constans’ (Perseverance in Difficulty), reveals the determination and courage shown by several generations to successfully overcome adversity. These timeless values continue to guide and nurture the fabulous Château de Bioul project.
