After an introspection of what would be the next steps to take in life as a winemaker, Rui Lucas decided to change his life and return to his origins and do what brings him the most pleasure, producing wine.
After discovering that his great grandfather had been successful in wine production, he wanted to recover the business that would have been lost for generations.
Thus, in 2013 he created the Prior Lucas brand as a tribute to the father who preserved the vineyards and with the motto that each bottle of wine is the result of its own history.
Integrated in its roots, it decided to preserve the viticultural heritage of its land and reconcile tradition, promoting good social moments through its passion that it intends to share with the world.
Its philosophy is based on dynamism and innovation intertwined with biodiversity and sustainability. The vats are self-built with material produced in the same parish.
