Quinta dos Capinhas is a beautiful family owned vineyard located in Porches, in the heart of the Algarve. It is set in a romantic valley overlooking the Monchique mountains and the sea, perfect for unforgettable moments.

Planted in 2015 in the region of our grandparents, the project gave rise to the first wines in 2018 and took on a new form in 2022 with new management. Since then, we have been one of the new producers in the Algarve revitalizing old traditions in Lagoa and investing in sustainable viticulture, boutique wines and intimate wine tourism.

Our family still lives on the vineyard property, where we receive visitors for tastings and guided tours, in addition to hosting guests in the four holiday homes and providing the space for weddings and private events.

We believe that good wines when shared generate even better moments. How about a special and intimate wine experience? Join a small group guided tour, visit the vineyard and taste some of the best wines in the south of Portugal.

The Capinha family returned to the Algarve in 2013 and, when they returned to put down roots in Porches, they decided to revitalize the land, renovate the terraces and plant vines in the sandy loam lands - just as the traditional village had been doing since Roman times. In 2022, management of the farm passed to João Capinha, who implemented, with the collaboration of big names in Portuguese viticulture, sustainable agriculture techniques, and continued to bring Lagoa wine to tables throughout the Algarve.
